Hi all from Morocco! Vera and I are in Marrakesh - If you imagine heaven to be the collision of all the world's musical cultures, then heaven would run a close second to Marrakesh.
I did a full-day recording session with a reggae guy in Lusaka, but we were unable to swing an overdub on the abolish war chant - the recording studio could not download the master track! We did however get a bunch of tracks recorded - here's a rough mix of one track:

Yesterday, got two hours of bed tracks of a local gnawa musician doing the gambri (bass guitar) / chant / drum thing that is the core of their music. We again didn't have the technology for live overdubs - Clint
