Preproduction notes for May 20, 2007

One Camera Setup
for two stages.
we will set up one performance while shooting the other
panning back and forth.
Since John Walton has the Toaster at his place we will experiment with a “open mike” style shoot. We will create the cheapest possible high quality web cast using home made and off the rack hardware and software and webcast live using windows media encoder and a home built computer..

Friday, May 18 at 4 - Live feed test to Sunset Station .
Saturday, May 19 at 4 - Live feed to Sunset Station .

Set ups Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 in the afternoon.
During set up at 4 pn Saturday we will stream a little (10 to 15 minutes) live video of what we are doing to the PodCamp at Sunset station. We will show them the juice can light rig and discuss very cheap broadband production methods. And maybe take calls from the PodCamp for Q & A.

Digital camcorder (to be determined) - for the purpose of this experiment it is necessary to use inexpensive gear that is available to everyone.
2 Behringer - Euroback 8 channel -
150 foot hand made dual coax cable with S Video and Y/C connectors.
Pyro A/V Link dicontinued A V converter to connect SVideo out on camcorder to firewire port on computer. Our cables are designed for connecting cameras to the VT4 video toaster.
